The weeks after birth are sacred. They are full of beauty, emotion, and constant change. Whether it is your first baby or your third, each postpartum season feels different. It asks you to slow down, to let others care for you, and to find your rhythm as a family again.
As a certified postpartum doula serving families within a 30 minute radius of Troy, Michigan, I offer both daytime and overnight support through Carrot Fertility. My role is to help you recover, rest, and feel deeply cared for in those first weeks home so that by the time our work together ends, you feel confident, rested, and ready to continue your journey on your own.
Carrot Fertility reimburses families directly for eligible postpartum doula support. Your total hours and care plan depend on the funding your employer provides through your Carrot Fertility benefit. Some families are able to receive up to sixteen hours of care each day, while others have fewer hours available.
Most Carrot Fertility contracts for postpartum care last for about six weeks from your baby’s birth date. Extensions are only approved in special circumstances, such as postpartum depression or a baby requiring NICU care. Understanding this timeline early allows us to design a plan that truly meets your needs during those tender first weeks.
I provide all necessary documentation labeled For Carrot Fertility Reimbursement so that submitting your claims and receiving reimbursement is simple and stress free.
Daytime care offers a gentle rhythm to your day. These visits include emotional support, light household organizing, feeding and newborn care education, and sibling support. I also love helping mothers nourish themselves through simple meal prep and restorative foods.
One of my favorite things to make is a custard oatmeal bake, warm, high in protein, and comforting for moms and little ones alike. It is a small act of care that can make a big difference in how your day begins.
Daytime postpartum visits require a minimum of five hours per shift, allowing enough time to truly settle in, support feeding, and help the household find balance.
Overnight support gives parents the gift of real rest. I arrive in the evening, quietly take over nighttime care, and tend to your baby’s needs while you sleep. Feedings, bottle prep, diaper changes, and soothing are all handled with gentle consistency so that you wake feeling restored.
Overnight shifts range from eight to ten hours, providing enough time for your baby’s sleep rhythm to develop and for you to fully rest. When morning comes, you will find your home peaceful, your baby cared for, and yourself ready for a new day.
While many postpartum doulas provide similar types of care, my approach is centered on integration and confidence.
Becoming a parent, whether for the first or third time, reshapes your identity and your family dynamic. My mission is to help you ease into that transition with grace and understanding. I do not just support you in the moment. I guide you toward feeling capable and self assured once our time together ends.
By the time our care concludes, my hope is that you feel grounded in your new rhythm, trusting your instincts, and ready to continue this journey with confidence and peace of mind.
For families who book their postpartum care well before baby arrives, I require that the full contract payment be completed prior to birth. This ensures your place on my calendar and allows care to begin seamlessly once your baby is home.
For families who reach out after baby’s arrival, a 50% retainer is required before services begin. I understand that this can be a significant upfront cost, but I hold dedicated time for each family and coordinate childcare or backup doulas to make sure your support remains consistent.
This structure guarantees that the hours you reserve are protected and that I can show up fully prepared and present for your family’s needs.
