All of these experiences have led me here.
My journey to becoming a motherhood, birth, and boudoir photographer has been anything but conventional. But at its heart is my deep passion for honoring and preserving the beauty of femininity in all its forms.
Like many women, I have struggled with my own battles with body image and confidence. Through self-portraiture and photographing countless women in their most vulnerable states, I’ve come to understand something powerful: no matter where you are in your journey of womanhood, your story is worth being photographed—and your presence is worth being seen.
Birth photography holds a very special place in my heart. When I gave birth to my first child via a gentle C-section, I mourned the loss of a vaginal birth for years. But the cell phone images my doula captured in the OR became my lifeline to healing, showing me the love and strength in that moment. When I had my VBAC water birth, my mother was there and caught the most incredible cell phone images of my baby girl entering the world.
They aren’t technically perfect, but when I look at them, all I see is pure love and raw emotion on all of our faces. I don’t see the extra 65 pounds, the fact that I was completely naked and didn’t care, or even the less glamorous details. The things I once worried about truly didn’t matter.
But my passion doesn’t stop at birth photography. Motherhood is messy, chaotic, and all-consuming, and in giving so much of ourselves, we often lose sight of our own beauty. Whether it’s capturing the power of birth, the tenderness of motherhood, or the confidence of boudoir, I believe taking time to be beautifully photographed is more than just creating memories—it’s an act of self-care.
